Objective of the course - to impart basic skill & knowledge to trainees in use & operation of the precision instrument, drilling machines, electronic instruments, etc. so as to prepare trainees for employment as Instrument mechanics.
Trainee Entry level - Pass Matriculation or 10th class under 10+2 system with
Science(Physics, Chemistry & Maths) or equivalent
Course Duration - Two year full time course
Course Contents :- Course coverage includes understanding the precision tools & instruments, lathe - operation & use, engraving machines, finishing & burring machines, prepare & overhauling of mechanical instrument, working principle & uses of optical & distance measuring instrument, simple electronic component, meters, current, fault finding in related equipment, etc. Engineering drawing & workshop calculations form part of the course.
Trainee Exit Level :- On completion of the course, the trainees are expected to be able to gain employment as Instrument mechanic in Instrument assembly/ manufacturing or related units.
The workshop, developed for this course, is equipped
with required meters, lathe machines, precision instruments, electronic
measuring instruments, optical instruments, fault finding instruments,
etc.
